Updates and Online Help!

Hi everyone!

We may be getting closer and closer to the holidays, but there are certainly lots of exciting things coming up over the next few weeks. First of all - a big welcome to Mr Farber! Mr Farber is a Canadian student teacher from the University of Wollongong and he will be joining us until the end of Week 10. We are very excited to have him in the classroom, as he has already been a fantastic addition to the space.

In addition to that, there are a few events coming up in the not-too-distant future. We have:
- Harmony Day this Friday.
- Life Education on Tuesday the 1st of April (please, please, please continue bringing in permission notes! You can find a copy here if you require another one).
- Parent/Teacher interviews on Tuesday the 1st and Wednesday the 2nd of April (again - please, please, please continue bringing in notes to let us know what time you would like for your interview. We would really appreciate meeting with all parents, but please be aware that it is a "first in, best dressed" situation. Times are filling quite quickly and there are still a number of interviews that we would like to book as soon as possible).
- Cross Country Carnival on Thursday the 3rd of April.

Other than that, we've had a few parents asking about how to access 1/2H's various online spaces. For those who would also like additional information on this topic, here are the three places your child may be talking about at home:

1. Student Blogs:
Link: kidblog.org/mops
How to log in from home: In the top left-hand corner of the page is a button that says "log in". Once clicked, students find their name in the dropdown menu and type in their password. Student passwords are simply their name (starting with a capital letter!)

2. Studyladder:
Link: tinyurl.com/n6y69wv
How to log in from home: Students find their name in the list and click 'go'. No password is necessary! Any tasks set through school will be found in the centre button (the button reads "Set Tasks" with a picture of a crab).

3. Twitter:
Link: twitter.com/classpencil
How to log in from home: Not necessary! It is just a page for students and parents to follow.

That's all for now. Have a fabulous week, 1/2!
