Can you believe its Term 4 already?!

Welcome back everyone! we hope you have all had a lovely, relaxing and safe holiday! It is great to see all the students’ back with such big smiles on their faces.

This term is going to be a busy one! Just a couple of reminders:

• Swim Scheme is on in weeks 4 and 5 of this term. Remember to bring in your note and money. If you can’t swim 25m confidently you NEED to come!

• Footsteps dance program starts WEEK TWO!! It is great value at $3 a class or $18 for the whole 6 weeks. Remember to bring in your note and money for this as well! Should be lots of fun.

Excursion to the Nan Tien Temple

Last week 2/3 and 3/4 went on a fantastic excursion to the Nan Tien Temple in Berkley. We all had such a great day learning about a different culture and religion.

We started the day with some tai chi in the courtyard. It was so calming following the Reverend’s movements in the beautiful sun. After this we were relaxed and ready for our walking tour of the Temple.

Fruit and Veg Art

Check out the amazing fruit and veg inspired artwork 2/3 did last week. Looks scrumptious! Great work everyone. :)

Nan Tien Temple Excursion

Just a reminder that 2/3 and 3/4 will be going to the Nan Tien Temple on Tuesday 4th September (next week!). We still have a few students who haven’t brought in their permission note and money so make sure you do ASAP because we would hate for you to miss out!

This will be a fantastic learning experience for our students. The temple is the largest Buddhist temple in the Southern Hemisphere and is a great way for students to learn about and experience first hand, a culture and religion that is different to their own.

Laptops

Just a couple of reminders for our laptop families. Please remember to:

• Back-up your laptop once a week
• Check for software updates once a week
• Bring your logbook to school everyday with your computer
• Keep your laptop clean by dusting it with an appropriate soft cloth. Do not spray the laptop with any liquid.
